How much does it cost to join?

Pricing will vary depending on your membership term, the longer you commit the cheaper it becomes. We offer memberships from a single day to a rolling annual contract. Please see our Memberships page for prices and terms available

Do you offer student, senior, or blue light card discounts?

We do! Our local community is our priority and we are happy to offer full time students, senior (over 65) and blue light card discounts on our annual memberships. Please ask at reception for further details. We also offer corporate discounts to some local companies. Check with your HR department to see if they have asked set up any deals with Elite Fitness.

  

Can I try out the gym before I join?

Absolutely, we wouldn’t want you to sign up without seeing what we have to offer! If you have never been to Elite Fitness before then ask for the Free One Day Pass at reception and after completing a short form you can use the gym facilities for a day with no obligation. 

 

Can I park at the gym?

Yes, we have a large number of free parking spaces available at Elite Fitness for members to use while they are in the gym. The car park is monitored so anyone using the car park while not using the gym or is not a member could have their car clamped.

 

Do I need to have an induction when I join?

Only if you want one! Inductions are designed to show members a range of resistance and cardio machines which can be incorporated in a full body workout. If you just want to do your own thing then you do not need to have an induction, but as one is included as part of a membership you can ask for one at any time during your membership term. If you are unsure of any piece of equipment you can ask any of our members of staff or PTs for assistance.

 

I have joined online, how do I get my membership key fob?

You can pick you fob up from reception on your first visit at anytime, but we may just need a minute to code your fob if you come in before we have had a chance to complete your membership.

 

What is your cancellation policy? Is there a fee for breaking my contract?

Annual contracts paid by Standing Order/Direct Debit have a minimum term of 3 months but can then be cancelled with one full calendar months notice in writing (via email to info@elitefitness.im or social media message (Facebook or Instagram @elitefitnessIOM)) from the member. It is not possible to cancel a fully paid membership, however it may be possible to transfer your remaining term to another person at the discretion of Elite Fitness management. Please ask at reception if you wish to do this.

I need to pause my membership because I got injured or will be traveling for an extended amount of time. How do I freeze my account temporarily?

Only annual memberships can be frozen at the discretion of Elite Fitness management and only if you are medically unable to attend (a doctors note will be required), or if you are leaving the island (proof of travel dates will be required), for 3 consecutive months or longer. The membership may then be frozen for an agreed number of months before it will automatically recommence. Open ended freezes will not be permitted.

 

I lost my key fob. What should I do?

Oh no! If you’ve lost your key fob please call in to Elite Fitness reception ASAP and we will help you purchase a replacement key fob, for a small fee (currently £2.50). If your fob has broken, you can swap your broken fob for a new one without charge.

I forgot my key fob at home. Can I still get into the gym?

If you arrive at Elite Fitness without your key fob then let us know at reception and we can log you in and provide access to the gym.

My current key fob is not working. What should I do?

A defective access key fob could mean a number of things: billing problems, lockout or there could be an issue with the system validation. If your key fob is not working please speak to us at reception to see if we can resolve the issue.

 

What different personal training options does Elite Fitness have?

All Personal Trainers at Elite Fitness are currently independent so work for themselves and not for the gym directly. They each organise their own schedule and charge their own rates. Does Elite Fitness have showers and lockers?

Each changing room has its own set of private shower cubicles and keyless combination code lockers so you can set your own unique code each time you use a locker and you won’t have to worry about losing your locker key.

 

Does Elite Fitness have a dress code?

Not really, but please use your common sense and wear exercise appropriate clothing. We do not allow denim or outdoor work clothes in the main gym that may catch or damage the machine padding. Please also check your footwear before entering to ensure you do not track dirt around the gym. Out of common decency we ask that gentlemen wear tops at all times, you can save your topless selfie for the changing rooms (it’s better lighting in there!). Repeat offenders may have their memberships terminated.

 

Does Elite Fitness have free Wifi?

Yes, WiFi is vital if you want to tag @EliteFitnessIOM in your socials! We have Fibre broadband and a number of WiFi extenders around the gym so there should be no data or connection issues. There is a free guest network which is free to connect to and has no password.

What is your policy on children? Can I bring my kid when I workout?

Elite Fitness does not offer child care or day care. For that reason, our child policy does not allow for children (under 16) to left unsupervised anywhere in the building or car park or be present with their parent while working out unless the child is a member in our system and meets our minimum age requirements.

How old do you have to be to workout at Elite Fitness? Is there a minimum age to join?

The minimum age for a member is 16 years old. Children between 13 and 15 may join under their parent’s membership at the discretion of Elite Fitness management, but they must only attend with that parent who will be legally responsible for their child’s actions at all times.

Can I purchase a day pass if I am in the area on holiday?

Of course! A single day pass is available, as well as one week, or one month memberships, if they work out more cost effective for you. Please check out our Memberships pages for the price of each term.
